  • Karen Couch

    Karen, her husband, Thomas, and their two daughters have called Prizren, Kosovo home for 5 years. She is passionate about seeing the next generation develop in their ability to lead themselves and others specifically through experiential learning opportunities, such as hiking and backpacking in the beautiful Kosovo mountains. Karen enjoys challenging herself and others through just about any outdoor adventure, knowing that challenges build character and perseverance for the life ahead.

  • Thomas Couch

    Thomas has been married to Karen for 12 great years and they live in Prizren with their two daughters Sarah and Hannah. He’s called Kosovo home for the past 5 years. His passion is to help people reach their full potential, becoming leaders who can solve the complex problems that face all of our communities and the world. Through Elevate, Thomas enjoys encouraging, teaching, and mentoring in various environments including out in Kosovo’s beautiful nature, at coffee shops, or just hanging out at the Elevate office.

  • Anna Chaney

    Anna is a Licensed Masters Social Worker with experience in education, non-profit management and program development. She enjoys bringing clarity and order out of chaos benefiting individuals and communities. She enjoys endurance sports like multi-day backpacking, has led student trips across the globe, and maintains certifications in wilderness medicine. Anna loves helping Elevate grow as an organization, refine their program offerings, and connecting with participants and getting out into the Sharr Mountains.

  • Michael Chaney

    Michael is from Atlanta, Georgia and as such loves the mountains and snow of Kosovo. He particularly enjoys hiking, mountain biking, trail running, and teaching snowboarding. Michael loves nature and outdoor sports and is equally passionate about seeing others learn and grow in and through those activities.

  • Raelene Fischer

    Raelene is from St. Louis, Missouri and she loves Prizren and the mountains. She loves to go on hikes with her three children, and sit at the cafes in Shadervan and talk about life. She is currently pursuing further education for counseling and is certified life coach.
